The pic of Gaby smiling in her care seat was taken at 4:00 a.m. when we told her we were driving to Disneyland.

Gaby's big make-up day

So I escaped for a few hours to work in my classroom. As I was gone, my husband downloaded a few pictures, Natalia took a nap, and Gaby... well Gaby took her recreation into her own hands. You see we just returned from L.A. and I hadn't unpacked my luggage. Being that it was open in the hallway and very present, Gaby took it to invite herself to a make-up party. Gone is my Channel lipgloss, Bare Essentials foundation, blush, and mascara. I have no night cream today all in the name of beauty.

California Disney 2009

Disneyland Day 1

Rob surprised the family a few months ago by scheduling a trip to Disneyland. Upon getting in the car, Gaby was so excited and, for obvious reasons, did not understand why we weren't in Disneyland within 10 minutes. On arrival, we realized we are visiting Disneyland on the busiest day of the year - day after the Rose Bowl. We enjoyed a few rides but decided to call it a day at 5:00 and headed off site for some dinner at Mimi's Cafe (less expensive and shorter wait).

Both Daddy and I woke up with some major backaches from the foreign bed but we should be off to visit Disney Day 2 shortly. We'll download pictures as we go. Today is the visit with the princesses.

Evening at the grandparents

After breakfast, we packed up and headed for Rio Vista to visit the grandparents. The bottom pic is my parents and all of their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We had a good dinner and enjoyed fun company.

Christmas Day 2008

We had a wonderful day beginning with presents at 5:30 a.m., a great homemade breakfast, and lots more presents.  Gaby really got into the gift receiving today and kept looking under our tree to see if more presents arrived. She made out like a bandit so I think in the next few days Rob and I will go through some of her old toys and donate them to charity. Her favorite toys ended up being Natalia's toys like the bouncy pony that grandma bought her and all the dolls Nati received from family and friends. 

I really feel blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life. We were in great company today and shared lots of fun and laughs.
